This is an extraordinary buckle that I made for the Easton Waterfowl Festival.
I harvested goose eggshells from which goslings had hatched. I cleaned, ground, sorted, and sifted them, then formed them into a block. Hand tools were used to cut out slabs, then goose shapes, that I embedded into a resin brick.
After filing, sanding polishing, and waxing, the eggshell-and-resin biscuit was epoxied into a cast bronze base. Each buckle is unique- no two are identical. This is a very unusual mixed media unification of materials. Made with hand tools, hallmarked by me, 2.25 inches diameter.
This buckle is partnered with a full grain buffalo leather belt. Buffalo is thicker, softer, more flexible, stronger, and resists abrasion better than cow leather. Read more about your 1.5 inch wide buffalo leather belt here.
Note: Belt size is waist size in inches, plus 2.

I personally make everything. If I am in the studio, then it might take a few days. If I am in the field it can take a bit longer. Don't hesitate to shoot me an email and inquire. If I am in e-range, I will reply.
