Gunmetal is a bronze alloy well known for high strength and resistance to wear.
I have soldered on a hand cast hand-carved tarpon, then applied mineral acid that reacts with the metal to develop rich color. Washed, dried, hand rubbed with a mixture of beeswax and turpentine, then hand buffed.
Each buckle is made with recycled USA metals, hand cast and tooled, signed and hallmarked by me, 2x3 inches.
This buckle is partnered with a full grain buffalo leather belt. Buffalo is thicker, softer, more flexible, stronger, and resists abrasion better than cow leather. Read more about your 1.5 inch wide buffalo leather belt here.
